Description

Virtualization uses software to create a virtual machine (VM) which emulates a physical computer. It allows for the optimization of server hardware by consolidating multiple physical servers, their server operating systems and roles onto a single physical machine. This course will provide an introduction to virtualization using Microsoft Hyper-V covering virtualization benefits, architecture, and products.
Planning your Hyper-V deployment is essential to delivering it successfully. It is important to assess you current environment in order to establish your requirements for a move to Hyper-V. This course reviews deployment scenarios, using the Microsoft Assessment Planning Toolkit (MAP) for planning, as well as hardware requirements and considerations.
