Once a project has been initiated – its purpose defined, a sponsor and stakeholders identified, deliverables described, requirements explained – it’s time to get into more detailed planning. Drawing on all the information from the initiating phase, you must now define the work and resources required to meet objectives and complete the project. The plans you develop will help create the scope, cost, and schedule baselines to be used throughout the project.
