Description
The DNS server role in an intrinsic component of a Windows Server 2012 network infrastructure – it is a name resolution system which is essential in optimizing network connectivity and resource access. The DNS server role provided by Server 2012 is an extensive, highly adaptable and configurable application, which when operating on an Active Directory environment provides a secure and efficient name resolution service. The DNS client resolver cache is used in the name resolution process. This course examines DNS name resolution, hierarchy, components, deployment, zones, record types and Active Directory integration. This course also looks at DNS record types, updates, security modes, and the installation of DNS. Finally, this course examines how to create an AD-integrated forward lookup zone, reverse lookup zones, client configurations, and utilities used to configure DNS.
Please note this course is based on the original Windows Server 2012 release. Algeo recommends visiting the vendor website to confirm exam requirements.
