Description

The most basic goal of a network infrastructure is to provide the ability to make file and printer services available to network users, and Windows Server 2008 continues to improve the provisioning and management of these types of resources. In this course we discuss file share features including Public Folder Sharing, Client Side Caching of offline files, and network printing resources. The course also explores management features such as disk quotas and file screening, reviews the use of the Distributed File System, and outlines the use of Windows Server Backup for data backup and restoration.
This course is one in a series that covers the objectives for Microsoft exam 70-642 TS: Windows Server 2008 Network Infrastructure, Configuring. Passing this exam completes the requirements for the MCTS: Windows Server 2008 Network Infrastructure, Configuring certification, and counts as credit towards the following certifications: Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP): Enterprise Administrator, and the Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP): Server Administrator, since both MCITPs are certifications that require more than one exam.
