Description
The Cisco Unified Communications Manager Device Mobility feature dynamically changes important location settings – such as Calling Search Space (CSS), region, date and time group, and Cisco Unified Survivable Remote Site Telephony (Cisco Unified SRST) reference – for roaming devices. Cisco Unified Communications Manager uses device pool settings to implement new parameters when the phone roams away from its home location. Administrators no longer need to reconfigure location settings when a phone changes location. This course discusses potential issues that can be experienced with Device Mobility.
In multisite environments, it is common that some users roam between sites on a regular basis. When such users use phones that are provided at a site that they visit, they miss their personal settings, such as directory number, speed dials, calling privileges, and Message Waiting Indicator (MWI). A professional Cisco Unified Communications solution needs to provide a solution to this problem. Cisco Extension Mobility allows Cisco Unified Communications Manager user to login to an IP phone and apply a personal profile, regardless of the device and physical location. This course also describes how to troubleshoot Cisco Extension Mobility most common issues.
