SQL Server 2008 Analysis Services gives you the opportunity to take the vast amount of information in your databases and analyze it so that you can use the information to improve your overall business. This course will introduce you to SQL Server 2008 Analysis Services and look at the benefits your business can gain from it. It will also introduce the different types of analysis services solutions that can be implemented and how analysis services is installed on SQL Server 2008. This course will also cover the logical and physical architecture of Multi-dimensional Analysis Services and introduce the tools that can be used to manage and deploy analysis services. In addition, the course will discuss data sources and data source views, including how to create, modify, and delete them. This course will also show how to create a SQL Server 2008 Analysis Services cube. This includes how you would use the Cube Designer, how you would define dimensions, define hierarchies, and define attributes. In addition, it includes a discussion on how to define measures, measure groups, and calculations. This course is one of a series in the Algeo learning path that covers the objectives for the Microsoft exam: 70-448 TS: Microsoft SQL Server 2008, Business Intelligence Development and Maintenance.
