Description
The management, deployment, and troubleshooting of desktop applications are primary responsibilities of any desktop support professional. The Windows 8 environment includes the new immersive Windows 8 Style applications, as well as new options for virtualizing applications and application infrastructure and locking down the operating system environment to permit only the list of allowed applications from running on Windows 8 with AppLocker policies. This course describes how to install and configure Windows 8 applications. It explains the three basic virtualization categories in Windows 8: App-V, Hyper-V, and VDI. It also describes the security features of Internet Explorer 10 on Windows 8.
This course applies to objectives of the 70-687: Configuring Windows 8 exam of the MCSA: Windows 8 designation.
